      <image:caption>I offer services by face-to-face video call (aka as telehealth). I use HIPAA compliant, video conferencing so that our sessions are secure and the communication feels similar to face-to-face interaction. You will need a device such as a laptop, strong internet connection (stable enough to stream Netflix), and a private space. During our sessions, you must be physically present in the state of NC, where I am licensed to practice psychology. There are some other things to consider if telehealth is a good fit, which we can discuss during our consultation call.       <image:caption>Treatment plans are collaborative and vary for each client, but most people benefit from weekly sessions at first, then transitioning to every other week or monthly once sufficient progress has been made.       <image:caption>My rate for individual therapy, effective October 1, 2023 is $175 per 50-55 minute session. I accept Blue Cross Blue Shield which includes the NC State Health Plan. Insurance coverage for psychotherapy varies from plan to plan and I ask that you call BCBS about your coverage/copay before we meet. Insurance requires proof of “medical necessity” which is established by making a diagnosis. I will need your permission to file on your behalf. For other forms of insurance, I can provide you with receipts you can submit for reimbursement for “out of network” services. If you have difficulty with this process, I can offer some resources that might help.</image:caption>
